Animal crossing signs are found mostly in mountainous regions where cattle and wild animals live and roam. Motorists must be extra careful when approaching these areas to avoid hitting animals that may run out into the road and cause an accident. Such signs are also found in safari parks, other animal sanctuaries and rural areas.
